Two men have been rescued after the boat in which they were travelling overturned in rough weather.
The men activated their EPIRB at 7.50pm and again at 8.20pm.
Rescue helicopters from Mackay and Townsville were activated along with a fixed wing aircraft from Cairns.
The vessel was located approximately 50 nautical miles from shore with the two men sitting on the upturned hull of the vessel.
Both men were rescued and have been transported to Mackay to be treated for mild hypothermia.
