A 27-year-old tourist missing from Strathdickie since Thursday morning has been located and airlifted to the Townsville Hospital for treatment.
The man was found around 7:30pm last night, and was initially transported to Proserpine Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Police have charged the man in relation to the alleged attempted armed robbery of a 58-year-old man at a property on Gregory Cannon Valley Road on Thursday morning.
It will be alleged that a man armed with a screw driver threatened the 58-year-old man around 10am and made demands for his car.
The 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted armed robbery and is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on August 14.

Police are currently searching for a man missing from Strathdickie, Whitsundays earlier today.

The 27-year-old European tourist was last seen on Gregory-Cannon Valley Road around 10.30am, but has not been seen since.
Police hold concerns for his welfare, and believe he may have been heading towards the Bruce Highway.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall and has short brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen with a brown shirt tied around his waist and possibly wearing dark pants.
