Woman dies after crashing quad bike

A woman has died in a single vehicle quad motorbike crash at Cape Palmerston yesterday.
Initial information suggests shortly after 11am Saturday, a woman was riding a quad bike on the beach when she fell sustaining serious injuries.
The woman was airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital but later died from her injuries.
The forensic crash unit is investigating.
