QLD Fire Weather Warning
Source: Bureau of Meteorology for the Central Coast and Whitsundays Issued at 4:03 pm EST on Wednesday 28 November 2018. Weather Situation Severe to Extreme fire dangers will continue over southeastern and central districts through the remainder of today, with locally catastrophic fire dangers remaining possible over inland parts of the Capricornia district and eastern parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields district until tonight. These very significant fire dangers are due to the combination of hot conditions and strong, gusty, dry westerly winds. Fires under these conditions will develop and spread extremely rapidly. Winds will decrease on Thursday, though hot and dry conditions will continue, resulting in Severe fire dangers over inland parts of the Central Coast and Whitsundays district.
