A woman and child died after the car they were travelling in crashed into a creek north of Proserpine this morning.
Initial information suggests around 7.20am, the car left the Bruce Highway and has gone into a creek, near Greta Creek.
A woman died at the scene and a male child died in hospital.
Two other occupants were transported to the Proserpine Base Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

One report says CPR was provided.
One female adult deceased.
One very young person also deceased.
One male rescued and giving details.
Another adult transported to Proserpine Hospital.

A car believed to have two occupants on board has been reported submerged in Greta Creek, Debella, just off the Bruce Highway between Proserpine and Bowen.
Fire & Rescue, Ambulance, Proserpine and Bowen Police on scene.
Have heard a report of one person deceased.
More information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
