A traffic crash that has blocked the Bruce Highway at Pindi Pindi has claimed the life of a man overnight.
Around 8.20pm, two trucks have collided on the Bruce Highway approximately 50kms north of Mackay.
A 61-year-old Curra man was transported to Mackay Hospital, but was pronounced deceased on arrival.
The other driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours, and is currently opened to one lane, with traffic control being conducted.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
