Good sign for Whitsundays lovers

A Cairns astrologer has rubbished fears that Friday, the 13th could bring with it the end of the world. Rather, it's a good day for asking others out on a date.

The alignment of the four planets Venus, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter on this day is no bad omen for humankind, according to Johnny Fernandez.
In fact, such an alignment happens only once every 50-100 years, and very rarely on Friday the 13th.
The last time these planets were observed together was in October 1910.

Fernandez said those concerned about the world ending need not fear, as the planets involved would be beneficial to any modern-day lovers.
"It can bring a lot of creativity, and a lot of expression in the romantic areas, and it represents transformation," The Daily Telegraph quoted Fernandez as saying.
"If you have been trying to ask someone out, the foundations have been laid down for you," he added.
