Did we get your attention?

Looking back over the year, it is interesting to see the level of interest in our region as a reaction to events that have happened here.

Hamilton Island were very fortunate to entertain Oprah and some of her guests last week. You may remember that Hamilton Island also hosted the winner of the "World's Best Job", Ben Southall last year.

Now, have a look at the next graph - compare the interest between when Ben Southall was stung by an irukandji, and Oprahs visit to Hamilton Island. (Please note that Oprah's TV shows have yet to go to air - it will be interesting to see the effect of that in the near future.)

Most events that happened here created similar interest both internationally and domestically. However, there were some events that had more interest in Australia, but little around the world, and vice versa.
