Bike fatality goes unnoticed for 9 hours

A man, believed to be aged 37, has been killed following a single vehicle traffic crash on the Bruce Highway at Bowen last night. 

The crash was discovered at 5.45am today when a passerby saw the man and the bike. Further inquiries indicate that the man was riding his motorcycle along Crompton Street when he has failed to negotiate the T-intersection onto the Bruce Highway before colliding with a pole. Street View   Map

It believed the crash may have occurred around 8.30 last night. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
