Police have charged two people after an incident in Cannonvale earlier this week.
Police will allege that a 39-year-old woman was held against her will at a Saint Martins Lane address between January 20 and 21.
It will be further alleged the woman was assaulted a number of times at the residence before she managed to escape and alert police.
A 34-year old Cannonvale man has been charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of torture and kidnap.
A 25-year-old Cannonvale woman has been charged with one count each of torture and kidnap.
They are both due to appear in the Proserpine Magistrates Court tomorrow.
